I wanted more from cast away. I found it dissappointing that the movie ended soon :) but, I understand the reason for the ending, though it broke my heart (as if I have one :) ). Cast away to me was more on "birth of civilisation" rather than a man in isolation. It looks like he is passionate about anthropology and stuff.

Red Dragon - WOW. :)
Ninth Gate - must see by all hindus I would say. :)

Not that you are asking, but here's what I feel about some of the movies you've listed:
Monalisa Smile-Overated but watchable still

Cast Away-Watchable. Poor guy!

Calendar girls-Cool!

Devil's Advocate- It freaked me out. Nice ending and nice subtle message. Further proving my point that evil is not so in your face afterall!

Notting Hill & Runaway Bride- *yawn* ;-)

Monalisa smile - many incidents were from my life. I liked the part that Betty realises that she was bitter because she was not happy. Although it sounds stating the obvious, it made more sense to me about the bitter women I have been constantly fighting with in my life, that it is not my fault after all.

Katherine was a photocopy of me.

Cast away - anthropology/birth of civilisation.... then it is enjoyable.

Notting hill - Hug grant, Rhys Ifans - adorable. :) (have you seen Four weddings and a funeral? You will love it if you like hugh grant and some "englishnes". :) )

Run away bride - there is more message in this movie than it is realised. I love this movie. More indian women are doing exactly what Julia roberts is doing that is, not knowing what they want, bu assuming what their men want is what they want .... :) I will post proper review soon.

Hmmm, perhaps I need to watch Monalisa smile & Runaway Bride again. And, yes, I too like 'englishness'. But 'Hugh Grant englishness' stopped with 4 Weddings & A Funeral. ;-)

Also, I donot know how I missed few sentences. it must have been to do with my sleep deprivation these days. I wanted to say Katherine was mostly like me, and it was the "me" few years ago. And there are few other versions of me. :)

Secondly, //Although it sounds stating the obvious,// bit was about somethingelse and there was more I typed... I don't know how did I lose it.. but anyway, I will post a proper review soon. I have the DVD, so I can watch again before posting the review (I take everything seriously don't I? :) )
